Much needed break

This has got to be my most relaxing vacation ever. I think it’s largely attributed to the fact that the weather was insane and there was almost nothing to shop. Our time was spent mostly on eating, chilling by the pool, drinks at potato head, watching the sunrise, sunset, massage, a mani and pedi session. Though there were other activities to try out – water sports and mountain climbing, I was happy to have not exercised any of those options. Plus, the villa was pretty awesome (: I think a beach vacation once a year is a good idea. Am already thinking of where to go next year.

Lazy morning by the pool after breakfast, with moscato, chilli chips and strawberries (: Bringing a book was such a fail idea. We ended up playing monopoly deal and cluedo, of which I found out I really suck at cluedo. hmmm.

A stop at the random but really huge havis store along sunset road. They were really cheap. Had such a hard time choosing just ONE pair and was so close to getting the green. Settled for blue.

Only regret is that we should’ve brought our swim stuff too. The infinity pool was mighty tempting given the heat.

Consider it a break away from the obscene amount of serials I’ve watched in the past month (i.e. 3 seasons of TVD in 3 consecutive weeks, and mischievous kiss for the 4th week). Yes it’s appalling. Off to Bali next weekend! Wonder what’s after.

Home on a Monday

Took leave today to have dinner later at Michaelangelo’s with Rah since we made a restaurant week booking. It also serves a celebration for our decade over worth of friendship which we have been trying (and failing) to celebrate since some years back. Anyway, I think I started off today too early. Went for an early mani and pedi session at the beauty emporium to remove the “families” in my fingers and toes. Come think of it, its been approx a year since the last time I was there, and any other where, to do my toes. :/ After, I sat and had my coffee at jones, read a mag and watched the world go by. It felt good, like I had all the time in the world. Except that I didn’t. Went home watched some Greys, typed a couple of emails, and for some retarded reason, I decided to make myself a 2nd cup of coffee to prevent myself from napping. Now I’m like a hopeless lethargic druggie that can’t move off the bed. Always a bad idea to fight z-monster.

One sixth of 2012′s passed, tired and exhausted most of the time. Boohoo. CNY did not really feel like CNY this year. Busy prepping the presentation. Am relieved it’s over but yet, I felt nothing more and there was no sense of satisfaction. Thankful for those who never fail to be there for me; when I have no idea how to deal with curve balls thrown at me, to listen to my crap, when I feel so lousy, when I’m grumpy, and when I need personal online shopper to help me buy clothes for CNY. Mad busy to the point that I almost had no time to celebrate my personal shopper’s birthday too. But glad we made it for breakfast at Antoinette’s in the end. Looking forward to celebrating our 10+ anniversary at Michaelangelo’s next month! Happy to have made time for Grandma as well, to accompany her since she’s cooped up at home after cataract surgery. I really wasn’t much help but I hoped that being there was comfort enough, given all that happened that week. Jan & Feb sounds so gloomy right. But for a huge chunk, it really was. In the midst of it all, someone caught me by surprise. And although it turned out to be disappointing yet again, sometimes I still can’t help but wonder if that’s just it.

Last year’s drama accomplishments?

MGIAG, Secret garden, Heartstrings, MSOAN, My Princess. Up to date with Greys, GG and Nikita. Unfinished Modern Fam. And read 1 fiction book. Can’t decide if that’s a good record or super fail max. City Hunter and Vamp diaries next up, but sad that I’ll have to wait till after Jan.

And on a random note, I’m sad that my holidays have come to an end. SIGH.

Plenty of other things in a between as well. And the last week was spent well rested I suppose. Eat, sleep and meet people. Just like school holidays. I miss that. New year resolutions? Not really my kinda thing but this time I will come up with some. Time to chill the moscato and toast to the new year in the comfort of home.
